THE HEIRACHY OF THE REAL ESTATE PLAYERS AND THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES
Below is the hierarchy of the Real Estate Industry and the players involved.
REALTOR: This is an agent held to the code of ethics set forth by the Realtors® Association.
BROKER ASSOCIATE: Holds a Broker’s license, held to the code of ethics of the Realtors® Association works under a broker and cannot work independently and cannot make company decisions or policy and does not supervise.
BROKER: The Broker is the APEX and holds ultimate accountability and is responsible for making company decisions and policy. All Realtors®, Broker Associates and agents must be under the direction and supervision a BROKER at ALL times. Brokers are typically the Owner or CEO of the Real Estate Corporations and usually spend the majority of their time managing, not in the trenches selling Real Estate. I do both.
Once you have concluded a Real Estate transaction with a selling Broker you will have a clear understanding of the differences between the 25,000+ Minnesota Real Estate Licensees and a Broker. Having a Broker on your file who has sat on the board is like having the IRS prepare your taxes. Don Sabinske is a selling BROKER.
